WIP is a design practice by British designer Matthew Milner, exploring a wide range of design disciplines, rather than focusing on a single theme.

Personality and the deep understanding of material and production being the key features of his work, Matthew believes working hands-on with the material is critical in the final outcome of a product. This relationship between product, material, and designer allows him to produce works of chaotic and bold nature, yet refined but playful at the same time.

Character and personality of objects influence many of his designs. A product without a character lacks an important quality which is often overlooked, substituted by facades or neglected entirely to creating lower-cost products. WIP tackles this by using raw materials and applying finishes only to highlight and enhance the product, rather than hiding its true nature.
